Flying with Angels

(A/N : Angel's Flight is a well known LA landmark)

“I'm going to take you somewhere you've never been before;”

How many times had he said that; his dark blue eyes twinkling as he did that quick movement of biting his lower lip?

They stood in front of the ornate entrance and Starsky said “it's a funnycular”

“No, Starsk, it's pronounced ‘foonicular'.”

That lopsided-grin and a nudge “I know that college boy.”

Now he sat on the hard bench as the car climbed up to the new apartments. Was it so long ago? Thirty five years? They came here and Starsky taught him to fly with angels.
